When two individuals come together in a relationship they create a third astrological chart that shows the soul or nature of their relationship. This is known as the Composite or Combined Chart. 'The whole is greater than the sum of its parts'. This is the nature of the Composite Chart, in that it shows how the combination of two individuals can create a relationship greater than the two as separate people.
Astrologically, a combined chart is calculated by taking a midpoint between two horoscopes to generate a new chart. This single chart is then referred to as the Composite or Combined chart and is completely different in nature to the individuals birth charts
